With „Handbuch der Mechanique“ (Manual of the mechanics) Christoph Feist illustrates the everyday swirls: getting up, going to work, shopping, watering the plants, going to sleep - again and again every single day.
Following the original graphic book „Langeweile war mein Motor“ (boredom was my motor), freely composed of individual graphics, Feists new book follows the clear structure of comic books. On each double page you can observe a mans everyday life. This is continually interrupted by large format graphics that strenghten the caricaturing moment in Feists imagery. Thereby the humour lies in the details, because the small alterations constitute the special charme of this publication.
